"A gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit and a golden thread to the meaning of life." Denise was an inspiration to many whose lives she touched. A solid heart of gold, she had time for anyone in need, be it human or animal. She fought against her illness with admirable courage, dignity and humour. She will always have a special place in all our hearts - always in our thoughts, never to be forgotten, and sadly missed. In memory of Denise who sadly lost her battle with cancer, but not without a damn good fight! In tribute to St Elizabeth Hospice who provided wonderful, loving care and allowed Denise to spend her final days with dignity in a peaceful environment. Denise had a wealth of friends from many stages of her life. It was great to meet many when they visited her in the Hospice and I felt honoured to listen to the stories shared. I could tell that she was greatly loved by all and will be sorely missed, as she will be by her family too.
